Born in Palmerston North, I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by the rich and varied landscapes of New Zealand. Regular visits to the beach, bush, and lakes sparked a deep connection to nature—one that continues to shape both my life and my photography today.

Photography has been part of my story from an early age. My parents captured our childhood memories using a classic Zeiss Ikon film camera, producing images that left a lasting impression on me. Inspired, I began experimenting with the camera in my teens, and by 16 I had purchased my first SLR—a Praktica. My passion for black-and-white photography quickly developed, leading me to build a backyard darkroom where I could bring my images to life.

Now based in Tauranga, in the heart of the Bay of Plenty, I’m surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty that continues to inspire my work. As a self-taught photographer, I’m constantly exploring new techniques and pushing my creative boundaries. While I currently work full-time as the CEO of a large commercial bakery, photography remains a central and deeply personal passion.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I’ve enjoyed capturing them. The journey is always evolving, and I look forward to sharing more of it with you over time.
